Man, d u c a fabulous new baby carrier?

I've taken the plunge....after a lovely meeting with Ali at Maverick Baby on Wednesday, I've ordered a Manduca carrier, in navy.

I tried a Tula and a Connecta (very odd fit on us!) but the curved waistband and ability to cross the straps on the Manduca made for a good fit.

Looking forward to receiving it in the post! Will update with news/reviews.

Dream job

What would you do with that lottery win? I feel no shame in admitting that I wouldn't travel the world, or buy a fast car (well, maybe one that has 6 gears). I would set up my own business, as a BabyBuyer. Not someone who sources babies...more of an adviser/researcher for parents to be or anyone in search of the right kit for their baby.

What's stopping me?! I may one day take the plunge and set up online. Maybe once BabyBeeker has developed a little further than 3 posts, I can start to think seriously about my venture, taking baby steps!

Keep calm and Carry...

My carrier research project is truly up and running! So far I have tried an Ergo, Emei, Beco Butterfly, Boba 3G and although they have all had some great features, none have seemed to fit the bill all around. I've been sticking to front carries so far as they are less complicated, easier to do on your own and I love to have my little boy where I can keep watch and communicate with him easily.

I'm now trying out a Babyhawk kindly loaned by a local friend - I even persuaded my husband to try it on this morning; now that's progress!

A big shout out to the lovely ladies in the Suffolk Babywearing Group who have offered me great advice, support and enthusiasm for my quest to find the right carrier.

Well, this is it...here we go...

I hope to create a fun and informative blog about all things baby.

I am a first time mum to a beautiful baby boy. I have a slightly unhealthy obsession with anything related to pregnancy, labour and babies and my main areas of interest are prams and baby kit.

My current research project is baby carriers.
